John here from Alaska, bought a homemade CNC Plasma table, slowly learning it.  Having a prob now with the thing trying to take my z axis to -4, must be in the drawing right?  I can't see where I have that, have redrawn several times and get the same results. if I stop then start it seems to work, its driving me crazy.  Where can I get some advice

hi,
your screenshot (machine) says everything what is wrong.

you are not trying to get the z-axis down, you are traying to do a probe
with radius comp (G41/G42) on.

G41/G42 + Mach3 is a no go (bugs) IMHO
anything is possible, just try it.
if you find some mistakes, in my bad bavarian english, they are yours.

How do I turn it off or make it stop?

Hello, back in 2004 I had converted a table-top size mill to cnc for a final project in classes I was taking. It worked great until about a year ago. Might add it was running Mach2 on a laptop computer. When it went, the computer and the breakout board took it bad. Recently I have been able to get the Mach 2 program off the computer to a thumb drive, and I have picked up a desktop computer running windows 7. I no longer have the old printer port, so I ordered a new usb breakout unit. My problem is that I can open my Mach2 file, but for the life of me can I get it to install. Any thoughts anyone?

Hi,
Mach2 is long dead and all development on Mach3 ceased five years ago.

You will have to update to at least Mach3 or if your controller has a Mach4 plugin then upgrade to Mach4.
I'm guessing you will have to buy a new licence to go from Mach2 to Mach3 and you would certainly need a new
licence for Mach4...there is no upgrade from Mach3 to Mach4....you have to buy new.

What USB controller do you have?

Licence for Mach2 is 100% valid for Mach3.

Hi guys.  Jason from Cedar Rapids, IA.  Built a 3D printed CNC dremel last winter (MPCNC), quickly outgrew it, and now I'm building what I hope to call a proper CNC router table.  I'm sure I will have a lot of questions for everyone, and I will likely make every mistake in the book!
