Hi. My name is Steve aka Scuba Steve. I have no back ground in machining or Cnc of any kind but find it very interesting and so here I am. I have been in maintenance (welding, fabricating and off road racing) for years. While I am having issues with my new setup I hope to get it worked out with many expertise of members here.  Look forward to many interesting conversations in the future.
Regards
Scuba

Hi Tony,

Hey that's great!  :)
Are you using the Gecko XML file? http://www.geckodrive.com/geckodrive-step-motor-drives/g540.html
For safety reasons, you should get the charge pump going.
I don't think there is a time limit on demo. But there are limitations.

Hello My name is Jared and I am about as Green as it gets at this I just started working for a company that has found out I go to ITT tech and have plopped a little project in my lap.  Its a mini CNC mill running mach3 and they want me to program it for some simple drilling of holes for our manufactured awnings.  If this is successful then they will purchase a larger mill/gantry system to cover all of our designs.  I am having several small problems the main one being that I cannot get my gantry to move along the Y-axis and just short of dismantling my table I am at a loss of what to do next.  if anyone can point me in the right direction as far as getting this CNC going It would be immensly appreciated.
          thanks again

Hi Jared,

Welcome to the forum.

If you post your question in the General section, which has more exposure than this thread, then someone will be along to help.
