Hello, my name is Rick, I am a Silversmith located in Bandera, Texas. I just bought a Taishi Model 300x400 cnc. I am very new to cnc progams, but im sure i can figure it out if I research it enough. So far, my thoughts are, "what did I get myself into?"

Hi im Adrian from the UK.  I have just bought a 3040 4 axis cnc from ebay with USB (RNR motion controller eCO V2).  This is to add to my existing toys - K40 laser engraver and vinyl cutter

Firstly has anyone got instructions for this machine in english as it keeps coming up error triggered Art code 8877 - i have followed advice on here but to no avail.   The motors are responding so receiving a signal. it freezes after about 30 seconds. i have purchased a dedicated win 7 32 bit pc for this.

this is the xll code

thanks in advance and just cant wait to make something :)

Hi all,

My name is Chris (aka grizin93.)  I am an amateur woodworker and stumbled over a CNC router for woodworking. I thought it was pretty cool and could maybe make some things to sell in my eBay store. I found some plans on the internet and my friend and I built a machine from scratch in February. I have been spending time in the last couple of weeks downloading and setting up MACH3. I have zero experience in machining and such. Yesterday, I obtained motor control for the first time. My Y axis is a little gimpy, but overall Frank (short for Poplar Frankenstein, the machines name) seems to be doing pretty well. I am going back to do some more motor tuning today as I am trying to get a nice smooth speed and diagnose what is wrong with my Y axis. I think it's probably a poor threaded drive rod, but I need to look some more for other potential issues. It also seems like my steps per rate is kind of low for smooth running, but I really have no clue right now. Calibration is next. It is a bit intimidating right now, but everything associated with this project has been intimidating but I have made it this far.  I am always open to suggestions or resources from anyone in getting started. I imagine I will be frequenting this place over the coming months so wanted to drop in and say hello. I would attach a photo of Frank if I could figure out how :)

Hi
I'm new here and new to CNC.
My name is Walt; MileHiDude is a handle from you tube that I thought I'd use here as well.

I've been a fabricator for about 30 years and in the last two years have run into an increasing need to custom mill a part.

As of this writing I have Mach 3 installed on a Dell Windows 10 computer in my shop.
However, my CNC plasma and mill are still in the beginning of a build process.

I'm very grateful for this forum and for the level of experience that I see here.

Thank you posters
And thank you ArtSoft
