There are a few USB to LPT mach4 adaptors on the market, PMDX-411, PoKeys57CNCd25 for a start.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: MACH4 with ESS G73 not working correctly

G73 is working fine for me.

Are you sure you are using the correct pecking cycle, G73 is a high speed peck where it stays down the hole and just jumps back 0.5mm or .020"

G83 is the one that jumps out of the hole and back in.

depending on how many inputs and outputs you need for the ATC you could have enough on the ESS to control everything and just use LUA to do the software side.

The file format is this.

The first 6 entries in the CSV file is:

min x
max x
number of x points
min y
max y
number of y points

Those fields are followed by the point data that fills the 2D matrix of points given by (number of x points) * (number of y points)

General Mach Discussion / Re: where can I purchase the hardware

A laser has no cutting force so the power requirements are very low and so these little boards can have the drivers built on to the board, your machine will have many amps of power per axis so it needs lots of cooling.

You could try this company here in the UK.

It might be better to set your button up as an OEMTrigger, see Mach3Mill_Install_Config.PDF section 4.13 for details.
