Is CV turned off

Do you have a length offset active, if so that will be included in the #2002 value you could do a G49 before you do the G31 G91 Z-1. move

Some pictures of the machine would be a help

If all the axis are driven the same then all the values for steps/per should be the same only the acceleration and velocity could be different.

In Mach3 macros you need to give it time to update DRO's so when you set the SetCurrentTool() or any other DRO you need to do a short Sleep() of say 50 to 100 to allow Mach3 to update in the background.

All you will need is a motion controller, Smoothstepper, or CSLabs or one of the many others out there it all comes down to your budget.  Very few if any of the cheep Asian ones work with Mach4 so stay clear.

What is the date on the wxMach file you are using?  you should have more than that on screen.

To change tool on Mach4 lathe there is no M6 command just call T0203 for tool 2 offset 3 and I think there are different #vars for the tool and the offset number so you could pick that up and send that to the PLC.

Mach3 can drive step and direction through a parallel port or drive various motion controllers as long as the plug in is available.  If your machine has Stepper motors and drives the its not usually a problem, if its servo motors and drives then it can be more complicated as some are 0-10V analogue some a pwm and some are step and direction.

I would try the Fanuc 6 post processor or the Vectric forum
