In the BOBCAD nc code viewer on the menu setup is Driver setup, on the general tab try changing the MAX CIRCULAR MOVEMENT options and re-generate the code.

Also turn off the XY show only changed options.

I think its got something to do with the G02's not having X and Y figures.

Hi Ryan,

It looks to me that your cam system is wasting more time than the delays by putting all the unwanted Z moves in, get a better post or a better cam system and you will save time and money.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Cut Type/Infeed type
« on: April 11, 2007, 04:02:25 AM »
Normally its the threading that uses these type of controls (G76)

If its the threading then the infeed type is constant depth or variable depth (cuts get smaller as it gets to the bottom of thread)

cut type is centre cut, left flank, right flank, or zig zag.

Have you got a rotary axis, if so put it on its back and use that to do the rotation.

Hi Dan,

Normally yes.

But people do have them the other way too. Its always a grey area when sharing g-code, they make mirrors of your parts, so it always pays to put a note in the g-code to tell them which way is plus for the program.

the old dear next door stopped and asked what I was doing, fixing a new number plate to my car was my answer, the old one fell off the other day and got lost.  How much is one of them she asked, I told her, is that new or second hand she said, trying to keep myself from laughing, I said I had tried every scrap yard I could think off and not one of them had a plate with my number on it, what a shame she said and went about her business.

Great place, I loved Dam Square, its unbelievable, the sex shop was next door to the butchers, it was like looking in a cave at stalagmites and stalagtites

Hi All,

here is a small .exe program for converting G-Code from mm to Inches and Inches to mm, it will also scale to any size you require, with in reason.

The program needs no installing, just double click to run it.

Click 'input file' to select the source file

Click 'output file' and enter a new file name, you can't read and write to the same file name.

Select conversion options.

Click convert.

That's all there is to it.

Try it and see if it works for you.

There is a later version of this program higher within this thread that has no limit to the number of lines of g-code it will convert, this version has a line limit of 32000.

attach your post and lets have a look at how it is structured, then we may be able to modify it.
