General Mach Discussion / Re: Limit/Home switch X-axis problem...

Have a look at the diagnostics page when you are about to home. Are there any other switches that are pressed?

Nate there is an option in the General configs ... No FRO on Q .. Check this and it will run smooth again (This will make it so Mach is not changing time and Fing up the accels)

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 G100 Question
« on: May 22, 2007, 12:56:14 AM »
The problem is the data transfer rate of the G100 and the size of the buffer... The g100 will run about 30 - 40 (could be less) lines of code a sec after that it is not so good

Hope that helps
Brian

If you would like to turn off an output you will need to do the following:

Deactivate(OUTPUT1)'This will turn it off

The Pause LED will not work??? did Screen 4 add the OEM code?

The problem is that you didn't set the tool :( I have tested it here and if you set the tool it will work as it should.
I think we may need to have a dialog box telling you that it is about to post and the tool has not been set.

Thanks
Brian

We talk about anything they ask for ... Could be how steppers work or how servo's work. We could talk about how to install mach3 or how to wire the machine.

All up to the people that are there :)

General Mach Discussion / Re: skipping steps
« on: May 21, 2007, 01:04:39 PM »
Dan found this :
I have a customer that was haveing problems with his large cnc router.
The problem was with only 1 axis the X axis.
He is using my 4 axis control unit with 4 G201's and my 42V 25A power
supply. He is using my 1303 oz in motors and the 752 oz in motors on
the X and Z axis. After several phone calls we finally located the
problem. The problem was with windows Update. Every 40 minutes it
would activate in the background and cause the X axis to loose position.
I'm passing this on in case there are others that are having phantom
problems. I had him run the optimization procedutres and now his
machine can run continuously for 8 hours with no lost steps.
