I would add a few places in the code to look at the tool and so on. It is simple to add in the code for that and you will then know where the tool is going to pull out.

PS you are going to need an M0 ;)

If you are going to do a control like that you need to look at the Galil cards.. you could keep all the old amps in the machine (that are not all that old).

You should be able to get a 4 axis version for about 1200 and you will have a full closed loop controle.

hope that helps

also you can check Sherline mode under the ports and pins... that will give you a much longer pulse for your opto's

All I see is the "Z inhibit" button. Thats it, just a button. No settings for how much of a depth or how many passes.

I thought I saw the settings in a page somewhere but after two hours of hunting and not finding it, I figured I had better ask.

Art really really did a good job on the 4th axis toolpath.

There is a multi pass wizard that will make a new file with the Passes at the right depths

It worked well last time I tested it...

If you need to have 200 KHz the G100 from Gecko drive should get you what you need :)

I think I saw that on the yahoo forum as well ... it is a bug and I think it is fixed :) You were good to get that one, I think it was up for less then 2 hours!

It is so hard to fix problems and not make more....

Brett are you going to turn on the spindle and cut the chips out? hmmm Ron's CopyCat wizard would help you with the program for that ;)

I don't have time at this time to change over your XML... But if you install Mach3 (Newest rev) it should tell you that it is going to convert your XML! Art added that the other day and it should get about 80% of the settings for you.

Did you find the problem? It sounds to me like you have a noise problem... IF you didn't get it fixed please feel free to post more info about your machine
