O BOY I do this all the time! There is not much you can do... Okay there are a few  thing...
1. Crank the speed and feed! You can shoot the chip away from the part if you work at it
2. Put something to suck up the chip as it comes off the part
3. if you can use a cold air gun
4. Keep your hands OUT!

This is what i do, It is not fun but it works.

Hope that helps
Brian
PS Up the feed :)

Franco,
You are going to have to have Y axis sub... This is done in the low cost cam systems and you are going to have to use a cam system to make the code.
Hope that helps

There are other programs that do this MUCH better! ArtCam is a good one but it is big money... Ram cam and Bob cad have some art stuff... I think Mesh cam will do some too...
Sorry I am not more help, I make parts not art. I need to get in to the art thing because it looks like fun :)

Thank you

Roger,
What are you running for a drive? I think you are going to need to change the Pulse width to 5 and the Direction prechange to 5 on the motor tune page. If this isn't working please try the serline mode on the ports and pins page.

If that will not do it we are going to have to look deeper  ;)

Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Re: Rapid Speeds vs Cutting speed
« on: November 12, 2005, 04:54:04 PM »
Your max speed is your max cutting rate... This a good thing because there are times when you would like to cut at 100IMP. I did a mold the other day at 163IPM on the mill at work. the next one that I do I was thinking about going to 200IPM... Hope that helps with why you would ever need to go that fast.

Thank you
