You could use Mach2 with the license if you like :)

There are free upgrades for the life of the software :) you use whatever version you think you would like to use and if you feel like upgrading because we added some new toy it is free! If the price of the software goes up and we add more it is still free :) I think you see how it works :) The only thing that could happen in the future is a pay version of Lcam where you Will have to have a license to unlock some of the advanced features... But this is going to be down the road and what is there now will still be free :)

Hope that helps

To get the jog settings press the " Tab" key (this is the thing with the MPG on it)

To get the reset to clear change the active low sate of the estop input under the ports and pins settings.

Thank you

AJ,
What type of drive system do you have? It sounds like there could be resonance in the drive that could be vibrating at the natural frequency of the drive system... This is a long shot but i have seen odd problems like this in systems with VFD's moving loads and having to use a skip frequency to get the fibration out By upping the acceleration I think that you are passing the point where the mechanical vibration and the servo "bounce" are not in sync..The first thing that I would do is retune the motor drives by adding a bit more dampining.

Glad to hear that you got it running!

This is a motor problem... check the current that is going to the motors as well :)

The Grex will move it a little bit faster... Other than that there is not much that it is going to do for a stepper machine at this time.

I didn't run the numbers but your 99.66 sounds just about right :) I understand where you got in trouble and I think you have a good understanding about how it works now!

Thanks

I would check that but I think you should also check for a wire that has come lose as well... It sounds like you have one coil of the stepper motor that is not getting power all the time. Is this only happening one one axis?

Try turning down the Max velocity of your motors. Steppers have more torque at lower speeds so see how low you need to go it get them working right.

Scaling will only work to do that IF the rectangle's center is at x0 y0. Anything other th x0 y0 will result in a shift of the rectangle...
