Yes, you will need to connect them to the two phisical THC Up/Dn Lines.

You will need a step and direction to +/- 10V converter to run the Amps.. There are a few that you can get and I don't have a link to them :( A few of the guys here have used them in the past and I think they will tell you more.

Or you can set an OEMtriger to do that... you need to set the OEM code under the System Hotkeys and I think you are going to need number 1021 for a reset.. (Found on the Wiki)

The Only way that you can have both is to  hook your "override" buttons up in parallel to the inputs for the THC. That should work...

On the Milling tab under ports and pins you need to turn on Enable Zup and down with out THC active. That should fix the problem
