It sounds to me like a PC problem... :( You will have to take out all the power save settings and so on to get it to work, after you do that it will kill the battery in no time :) So I would wait for the desktop computer

Yes you need to turn off any Chains or layers that you would not like to cut. If you can see it on the screen it is going to be cut :)

If you offsetting  lest then the Rad of the circle?

That is not going to work :( You will have to rewire direct to the the drives :(

Check your Motor settings and set you Max velocity lower. Also set your Jog Vel to 100% by pressing Tab. This will allow you to test your motors at max speed.
