General Mach Discussion / Re: Cutter radius comp problem
« on: December 29, 2005, 08:29:28 PM »
Hello,
I got a problem when I use radius compensation, when I load the file Mach complains about:
'Cannot use g28 or g30 with cutter radius comp on line #56'
If I remove G41 and G49 then it works but I can't understand why it wouldn't work with the rad comp.
Please see following code:

I think you have a good idea! But I think if you are going to tap the hole you should think about drilling the holes... I have never tried to tap a plasma hole but I have cut plasma cuts on the mill. HSS Mills do not last long cutting a plasma cut...

Hope that helps

General Mach Discussion / Re: Trouble with Mach2

I have never got a 300MHz to run Mach3.... I would look at getting something about 1 GHz to run the machine. We have been getting them for about 400.00 with out a monitor.

Hope that helps.

You are going to have to find the 0 and 5 V power... Some of the breakout boards have the 5V power on them and some do not. I have hooked into the computer power supply in the past or testing...

The pins for the A and B channels can be hooked to what you have set on the ports and pins page. There is a tab called "Encoder" where you set the pins.
Hope that helps

I have torched a pot or two :) I had a bad attitude about this at first.. I can have a new port here next day for under 20.00 USD. So WHAT THE HECK do I have to spend about $100.00 ... I burned up two ports in two years (Both were my bad)! But now I spend the money and I have not had one problem. SO IF you don't m ind having the odd problem from time to time you can save some money.

Hope that helps

Sorry I just got back in... You are going to need the Mach3Mill.xml file in the Mach3 directory.

Thank you and have a great day

You can run at 35KHz mode no problem. We don't like to have people just setting up if they don't need to have it...
The touch probe can be used for anything that you like... I have set up my probe here to center a circle off 3 points :) I have also make a wizard that will set the part rotation ... This will make it so you clamp the part down probe and CUT! The probe cycle will skew the coordinate system with coordinate system rotation.

I hope this helps

Well the code looks good...  Could you send me your XML?
If you can send me your XML I will go over it and see if there is a problem.

The P is calling the sub number... so P0100 is calling the O0100 sub.

Yes the Inc is ever half Deg but one Deg every time the sub is run.

VB is a very cool was to solve problems with making programs! If you have an Opp that you need to do over and over it is worth the time to learn VB

Have fun
