PoKeys / Re: How to setup rotary encoder as MPG ?
« on: October 26, 2013, 06:26:51 AM »
Hi, Bo

Analog filtering: use PoKeys software to enable analog filtering of the inputs
Encoder mapping: feedrate override should work fine with encoders.

Matevž

Did you try the matrix keyboard in PoKeys application? Just close the Mach3, open PoKeys application and review the configuration of matrix keyboard. If all is done well, the keys should light up on presses in the Matrix keyboard configuration dialog.

Hi, Bo

1. Go to Ports&Pins dialog and enable MPG1 under MPGs tab. Then map the encoder to the MPG1 DRO in the PoKeys plugin settings.
2. See OEM button 1903. This will toggle the jog mode. Rapid jog can not be mapped directly at the moment.

Hi, machiner

This dialog is for diagnosting problems. When required, the support team will ask you about the figures in this dialog.

Hi, machiner

Please check what ICs you have on the relay boards. HC595 were discovered to be responding incorrectly in some cases and we advise you to replace them with HCT595 counterparts.

PoKeys / Re: PoKeysU and optocoupler encoder

Hi, Maciej

As we answered you to your email question, PoKeys already has multiple quadrature decoders built-in. You only have to connect encoder A and B (logical) signals. Make sure that you provide a proper signal to PoKeys device - clear signal transitions between 0 and 3.3 (or 5) V.

Matevž

Hi, Ozzie

The support for encoders is one of the things that the plugin was made for. Many users use this.
Please export your complete plugin configuration (from plugin in the Mach3) and PoKeys configuration (using File>Save in PoKeys software) and send it to me (matevz [at] poscope.com).

Matevž
