Yes, you can combine multiple PoKeys devices in Mach3 and Mach4. There can be only one motion controller and all motion-related signals (homing, limits, probing...) must be connected to the motion controller device.

Was the issue solved?
Did you configure the back-off distance using the PoKeys application?

Hi,

did you open support ticket at http://support.polabs.com/ with that question?

Are you using Mach3 or Mach4? Check the settings in the 'Pulse engine' dialog of the PoKeys plugin. There must be a switch configured as Home input for the homing to operate.

Hi, Blighty

You can take a look at this blog post: https://blog.poscope.com/pokeys57cnc-pinout-explained/

It explains various types of PoKeys I/O signals and how they are accessed. Most pins have built-in pull-up resistors and switches are expected to be wired between input and GND.

PoKeys / Re: Mach4 and Pokeys57CNC limit switches

Hi,

was the issue resolved?
The default configuration of limit and home switches is selected in the new device wizard. If the switch is not configured to be present, the corresponding input will be deactivated. With the deactivated input, there will be no indication to Mach4!

Send a screenshot of 'Pulse engine' configuration screen. If the switch is configured there correctly, the plugin will also configure appropriate Mach4 signal and vice-versa.

PoKeys / Re: Pokeys 57E + Mach4 + Lathe / Turning Application

As noted in the response to the support ticket, 57E can do threading with Mach4 and the listed encoder. External pulse generator (e.g. PoExtBusOC16CNC) must be used since internal pulse generator doesn't support threading.

Note also that PoKeys57E is a barebone I/O interface and all signals connected to it must be properly preconditioned (no filter or protection on any of the pins).

PoKeys / Re: Mach4 + Pokeys Plugin + Compatible version

Mach4 is in constant development and the team keeps the SDK backwards-compatible. In case of any large changes to the API (very rare lately), PoLabs gets notified and releases the compatible plugin ASAP.
Currently, 3630 plugin is by our knowledge fully compatible with the latest Mach4.

The support for PoLabs devices is available at http://support.polabs.com/.

We are aware that the PoKeysDevice_DLL in the Development folder is outdated - instead, PoKeysDevice_DLL.dll from the PoKeys installation folder should be referenced in your app.

PoKeys / Re: Mach4 spindle control - no voltage through pin 17
« on: March 11, 2018, 04:11:22 AM »
1. Configure Mach4 with correct spindle speed ranges (at least the first one)
2. Activate spindle
3. Set the spindle speed (note that override slider doesn't set the speed!). E.g. run MDI command S5000 in Mach4.

PoKeys / Re: PoKeys homing limit switch issues

So, you configured 2000 pulses for the Z-axis (or only X?) back-off distance using PoKeys application and the motor doesn't back off from the switch after homing?
