It appears that something was changed in Mach3 - the Function == ... Outputmask... was not there before. Have you tried reaching the Mach3 guys?

Regarding the flickering potentiometer - this is an indication of electrical noise. Connect all unused analog inputs to GND, also put a small capacitor (e.g. 100nF between analog input pin and GND). You can also enable the analog filter in PoKeys configuration software (under Peripherals > Analog inputs and outputs).

Hi, Alfred

The motors have to stop as soon as the Pulse engine is not in running state. Hitting a limit switch or emergency should immediately make Pulse engine to switch into Err and stop the motors.

Which PoKeys device do you have?
Which version (latest is very relative)?

Regards,
Matevž

I am personally pretty weak on the VB scripting functionality of Mach3, so would have to research it first...

But you may try to use the Mach3's IO's - there are special IO registers that should be accessible and you can map PoKeys pins to them ('Mach3 IO <n>' option in Plugin configuration, where <n> goes from 1 to 100).

I can only say that this message is generated by Mach3 itself, not the plugin - we have no idea what is the purpose of it.

Hi, Gerd

Mach3 plugin will not 'harm' the PoBlocks program, but I would suggest to implement some mechanism (like a signal from a physical switch) to block the PoBlocks program from affecting the Pulse engine - unpredicted behaviour can occur if both PoBlocks and Mach3 are commanding the motors.

Bob, please understand that this forum is not PoLabs' official support forum. I hope you received the answers from our support team in time.

Regarding your question - emergency stop MUST be connected to the device that controls the motion. It should not (I am not saying that it can not be done) connected as a general purpose input signal and mapped to emergency state via Mach3.
So, if PoKeys is used as motion controller, connect emergency signal to a dedicated Emergency pin. If some other device is used as a motion controller, wire it there. It all has to do with safety and reliability.

OK, I need some help with the Ponet Kbd48cnc keyboard with the Pokeys 57U.  They have so many files and are confusing to me on the Polabs website and also must be a language problem when I ask them a question. So, can anyone help me as to the name of the files necessary, and where they go,  to get the keyboard and 57U operational in Mach3.  Desperate , please help.

Bob, please try to use one support communication channel at a time. We have a lot more work answering support if you open a ticket, send us a few emails and post on the forum... When asking questions, try to be clear which device you have and what you are trying to achieve.
In case of kbd48CNC, you were referring to it as a "keyboard" only without stating anywhere that it is kbd48CNC. It's confusing for our support staff. Did you receive the answer regarding the pendant?

For other users: if you want to connect PoPendant to PoKeys devices without dedicated pendant connector (PoKeys57CNC), the flat cable that comes with it can be used to connect the signals to the PoKeys pins directly. Since different users use different pin functions on PoKeys devices, there is no fixed pin mapping prescribed for the PoPendant on PoKeys. Instead, we give a recommendation in Mach3 plugin manual on how to connect and configure the signals.

These days, a lot of tickets were opened and we are solving one by one, which may take some time to serve the users the correct and useful information.

PoKeys configuration application is a part of the PoKeys setup package (e.g. PoKeys v3.1.67a, PoBlocks, Mach3 plugin (1.12.2015).exe: https://www.poscope.com/index.php?route=product/product/download&download_id=122&product_id=87
Once installed, you will find PoKeys application in your start menu and on the desktop.

Fixed in 3.1.67a. 3.1.67 happened to be released without the latest 4.1.44 update.
