That is what deadband is meant for. Even 45 is quite a low value.

How did you configure PWM settings in PoKeys Mach3 plugin configuration?

Hi, machiner

The PoKeys products are not at dead end. Far from it - we keep the devices up to date with constant updates and improvements. PoKeys entered the world of Mach3 quite late and we did not come as far as supporting threading operation in the way we would feel satisfied. The problem is that Mach3 is at the dead-end and we are focusing on bringing even better user experience with PoKeys devices for Mach4. Therefore we decided to not include the threading support in PoKeys plugin for Mach3.
Unfortunately, we can not assist you on workarounds, but PoKeys should play along just nice with other plugins (but Mach3 supports only one motion device, so make sure you don't enable Pulse engine on PoKeys if other motion plugins are in use...).

Regards,
Matevž, PoLabs

Yes, your approach is correct. Unfortunately, it is unknown to me which OEM LEDs allow you to do this and which ones don't.

It appears that Mach3 does not allow the block delete function to be controlled from a switch and requires a button instead. I would suggest replacing the switch with a pushbutton with LED.

Some Mach3 functions behave like a toggle switch and require one actuation for turning the feature on, and another one for turning it off. A workaround on some functions can be done by mapping a switch input to OEM LED (these are not only used for outputs).

Mach3 MPG - are you using PoKeys56U for generating pulses for the motors? There are some issues in how Mach3 handles the MPG jogging by itself (and not using LPT port for MPG).
Block delete: if you are using a button (not switch), then use the mapping to button 176, which toggles the block delete mode. If you are using a switch, map its signal to OEM LED 66.
Regarding potentiometers - to minimize the noise, it is advisable to wire the potentiometers to PoKeys's 3.3V pin.
Use OEM DRO 821 to override the feedrate DRO. Enter proper offset and gain values in the analog input dialog options (see the Pulse engine and Mach3 plugin manual on this).

Please take a look at the 6.4.  Electrical specification – static characteristic table in the PoKeys manual. The 5 V pin can be used to source up to 400 mA, while 3.3 V pin can source up to 120 mA.

Unfortunately, we can not observe any flickering of Mach3 window. This is a Mach3 issue with refreshing. Do you have the latest 3.043.066 version?

PoKeys / Re: mach3 and PoBlocks by Shared Slots

As markder13 also contacted PoScope support directly, I am providing the answer to the question for other users that might need the same functionality.

The spindle speed can be easily setup using usual encoder inputs of the PoKeys device - this should be available in the PoKeys Mach3 plugin as Encoder to DRO mapping (select spindle speed override DRO).

If you want greater control, PoIL shared data slots can be used for data interchange between Mach3 and PoBlocks environment - Mach3's side is simple and is described in the plugin's manual, while the PoBlocks side is described in the PoBlocks manual.
