PoKeys / Re: Limit and Home input inactive

Are you using anything else on the pins 31-33 (do you have the LCD enabled)? Try using different pins.

Regarding charge pump output - charge pump is a thing of a motion controller. It should not be output by other I/O devices and thus PoKeys does not support such operation.

PoKeys / Re: odd Pokey issue...

Sorry, I was reading your initial post too fast - this option is only available if PoKeys is used as motion controller device.

Since (in your case) PoKeys only forwards MPG position to Mach3 and all motion is generated by Mach3, the issue you are describing is Mach3 problem (either Mach3 code or configuration, but since MPG works in continuous mode, the configuration should be OK).

Don't be so dramatic. The plugin is in active development phase and we are working hard on providing as many features as users want.
We wanted too much for the pins (showing the user the current configuration state of the pin), which confused the Mach4 when it was doing the signal mapping resolution on startup.
The latest plugin solves the issue, but still some smaller problems persist, which we are targeting to be solved in the next release.

Have you tried the latest plugin? Quite a few versions back, the speed filtering has been applied.

Since the PoKeys56E devices have a limited amount of memory and we almost ran out of it, the firmware development has now been focused to PoKeys57 series. The PoKeys56 series firmware will receive only fixes or smalller feature updates.
Therefore, the wake on LAN is not in plan for PoKeys56E device, but we will take this into account while doing some network feature updates for PoKeys57 series.

Hi, Michael

If you selected 'Let PoKeys handle MPG jogging', you have activated the internal (device-side) jogging that supports only continuous mode. If you need to switch between different modes, you will have to stick with Mach3 handling the jogging directly (uncheck the 'Let PoKeys handle MPG jogging' option), but the motion is somehow more ackward to use.

Regarding the speed override creeping - if PoKeys is encloused in the same cabinet as other high power equipment, it will pick up electrical noise from the environment. PoKeys has weak pull-up resistors built-in for each pin (in the range of 100 kOhm), that equate in high-impendance nature of PoKeys inputs. Coupled with unconnected wires (to the switch that is not pressed), these act as antennae and pick up electrical noise.
To solve the issue, add additional stronger pull-up resistors (try with 1 kOhm) between PoKeys pins and +3.3V or +5V (use the ones on the PoKeys device).

Matevž

Not yet, but it can be implemented in PoKeys57E.

PoKeys / Re: PoKeys57E – Fast Encoder Problem
« on: April 19, 2015, 02:38:17 AM »
As I noted earlier, these encoders were not designed for such job. Even interrupt events are a limited resource and a lot of other functionality can affect the performance of fast encoders (Pulse engine operation, PoIL core operation, communication, etc.).

Originally, encoders support was designed for use with simple encoder switches (without a numeric dial). The fast encoders were later added for use with MPGs and not for providing position feedback of the stepper (ultra fast encoder can be used for this purpose).

We can not help you if you don't provide the information we are asking for (see my previous messge).
