Hi, Alan

How is the output board connected to PoKeys? Switching higher loads produces current spikes that can produce noise on other devices in vicinity. If wiring between PoKeys and PoExtBusRE board (and the board's power supply) is not properly shielded, spikes can cause the outputs to toggle.

Hi, Alan

Is your Mach3 installation in the default folder (C:\Mach3\)? If not, then I will need to send you the Mach3 plugin to copy it there manually. The plugin version available as a separate download is not up to date.
Anyway, you can find all the instructions stated above in the document 'PoKeys Pulse Engine and Mach3 plugin manual' available at http://www.poscope.com/productattachments/index/download?id=77
Follow the steps there and you should have the functioning plugin.

Also, pay attention to the following:
- Activation code is needed only for Pulse engine operation. If only IO (digital, encoders, analog, LCD, PoExtBus) is used, no code is required.
- do not run PoKeys software in parallel with Mach3 - one can disturb the other
- use Mach3 plugin configuration dialogs to setup the IOs
- on first usage of PoKeys device in Mach3, go to plugin configuration dialog of Mach3, click Configure on PoKeys plugin and click 'Add device'
- device must be connected before starting Mach3. This is due to Mach3 requiring that some parts are initialized during Mach3 startup and can not be changed later while the software is running

You can still use Brains with the PoKeys device. PoKeys can be configured to output values from different sources - LEDs, Mach IOs.

Sorry, my mistake. We use different stepper drivers that require an active Enable signal. Leadshine 524 however, has inverted enable signal. Just disconnect the ENA- wire and you will be ready to go.

Where did you find the information that the pin 46 is not advised to be connected to the driver? It is meant to be connected to the driver and it should be if you want to use the x-axis.

Regarding the reset - we will take a look whether we can find a proper solution to this.

Regarding the analog mapping - did you have both the encoder and analog inputs mapped to the same DRO?
