Your Z home switch is Z = 0, so your Z max should be a little bit less than zero, which would be below the switch.
Using softlimits for the bottom of the Z travel is rather pointless. For it to do any good, you'd need to change it each time you changed the tool. If you're going to use softlimits, Z min needs to be less than the lowest point your Z will ever need to go to, with the shortest tool you'll be using. The problem is that when you use a longer tool, softlimits won't prevent it from going too deep.

Ger,

Good news, reinstall and everything is working fine. From the looks of it there was file corruption and a few other issues. A few other programs started running better after the libraries where reinstalled and with Mach3 reinstalled and set up currently no issues. Glad to be able to report back a positive.

Gerry,

When trying to use the probing screen and probing in the +Y direction instead of probing towards +Y the axis simply goes back to my homed +Y, what am I missing here?

You need to fill in the following DRO's:

Init. Feedrate
Max distance
Probe Tip Diameter

If you enter a slow feedrate it will.

Should the plate offset be 0?

I have it set for the thickness of my plate and the DRO does zero but the bit is not zero'd in the DRO with the plate offset... I've moved the axis as close as I could could get to zero and the bit is not against the work piece as I would expect.

If you're probing against a plate, you should have the correct thickness of the plate.

You need to enter the probe or bit diameter of whatever you're probing with. If the probe diameter is 0, then the wizard will use the diameter in the tooltable for the current tool. IF that is 0 as well, then probing will not work correctly.

If you want the wizard to set  your DRO to zero, then you need to check "Auto Zero XY Coordinates.

Note that after zeroing, the center of the tool will be at zero when it's directly over the edge of the workpiece.

Question:
In the 2010 screen set, these are my issues:
When I click on the double chevron, The Z axes goes down and touches the touch plate as it should, than it goes to the fixed plate. After it zero’s out on the fixed plate it goes to the work piece and ask to click the start button. Than it goes to the tool change, after tool change, click on start and it goes back to fixed plate and then to work and starts spindle and begins. I have touch plate .125 thick, but when it starts work it is .04 too high.
When I click on the single chevron, The Z goes down and touches the touch plate as it should, than it goes to tool change position, click on start and it goes to fixed plate and zero’s out. Than it goes immediately to part and starts cutting. The problem there is that it starts .125 too deep, Like it ignores the plate thickness altogether. I thought with the single chevron, it went to the touch plate, and zero’s out and then when you click start, it started cutting.
Can someone enlighten me on what is wrong with this scenario, or is it me?
Toad
I'm seeing the same issue but mine is 0.034" repeatedly. I used a feeler gauge between to determine the amount as I couldn't get my caliper underneath the spindle head.

Did you get this resolved? If so, how? I've used shielded cables throughout and besides, the amount is consistent so I don't think it's noise.

Are you sure you have the correct plate thickness entered?

If it is, watch very carefully during the probing. If I had to guess, I would think that it's not touching the plate on the second probe.
