Are you using a motion controller? It may be that you're controller doesn't support RefCombination()?
I'm using RefCombination similar to your macro, homing X (and Slaved A) and Y at the same time. I'm using the parallel port.

Hi,
I have a question about the auto tool zero and or simple tool zero. I have a router with quick change but not fully automated (midwest rapid tools). Generally i have all the tools set on top of my spoilboard and once they are set stay set but have recently made a touch plate and a simple macro to set the tool length (not offset z in active fixture offset). Anyway if the tools are set before hand will they always go through the probing routine when the program is run or can that function be turned off but still move to the tool change location?

You'd need to edit the M6 macros to remove the auto zero code.
But, you could probably just use the default M6 macros. I believe that all they do is send the machine to the tool change position.

So this may have been answered with the 52 pages of posts but could a button toggle be created to enable/disable auto tool zero so it runs first cycle of the day to set tools and then turned off for the rest of the day or when a bit is changed?

If you don't run the auto zero when you change tools, your Z zero will not be correct?
No, you'd need to edit the macros to be able to do a tool change without the auto zero.

I purchased 2010 screenset for my mill and was using it fine until my computer crashed. I have a new computer now, and am trying to reinstall my software, but the 2010 setup files fail to install. I get a message that it will damage my computer and Win 7 will not allow me to run the program.
How do I go about getting the files into my new computer?
Thx

Is it that the setup files won't run, or you can't download it?
If you can't download it from a gmail or other account, send me an email.
If you PC won't let it install, then you need configure your anti virus software to let it install.

The installer won't run because it is a msi installed program, not an exe. For some reason, Win 7 doesn't want to run it. I can't copy it, expand it, paste it, or run it. Is there a version in exe format instead of msi?
