Hi i have a weird problem.  For some reason when the auto tool change activates it does all the steps but is correct.  For instance at the moment it is -1.775 at bed level.  Wherteas if i manually toolchange and press simple zero button it is absolutely spot on.

Is this somethign you have come across before

Many thanks Sean

Do you have a fixed plate setup and working properly?
And did you run the Initial Auto Zero before the tool change? You MUST run the Initial Auto Zero before running code with a tool change, or the new tool will be set incorrectly.

How are you setting Z zero without a movable plate?

just with the fixed plate on the bed of the machine.  I know it is 2.765mm above the bed (z0) so i put that in as a plate thickness.  It works great with simple one touch button for zero just not the auto change.  However it diud work at one point then i messed with the leadscrews to clean and grease them and it doesnt seam to want to work anymore.

Do an Initial Auto Zero to the fixed plate, and then your tool changes should work.
So you set Z zero to the bottom of your parts?

There is no shortcut key for M6. Or for the Spindle, which is M3 in MDI.
If your using the standard size 1024x768 version, you can try the Jog It version on my website which uses mostly default hotkeys, where F5 turns the spindle on and off.

have run into an issue. The MDI was only allowing one line of code at a time. I was able to fix that by changing jog to step instead of constant. The issue is now it will not allow movement with the keys.

Another issue is that the touch probe for the movable plate is not triggering. In low it goes on and stay on and in hight it will not trigger now (was working). This is not my machine and aiding another person. Going to do a full re-install to remove the option of corrupted file issues. The system was running without issue until lately so going to try first port of call and re-install. Will let you know how that comes out and what the result was.
