I installed the screenset i bought from you and went through the set up. how do i get it back to Inches? my DRO's are reading in MM's. everything was set to Inches before i installed the screenset. even the bottom of the screen references mm's. im sure it is something simple but i can't find it in the configs of the screenset.

Ger, I can't believe I waited so long to get your screenset. Thanks for all the hard work and support and I have a question.

I quoted krugshouse's post from a while back. I have this same issue and have always had it so it's probably a Mach3 thing not your screenset. If I have my native units selected as MM of course everything is in MM including DRO's. If I load a gcode file that is in inches it will automatically switch all DRO's over to inches and everything is great or I can go to the settings screen in the 1024 screenset and hit the UNITS Alt-U button and swap and everything reads either MM or inches. The problem then becomes that button isn't in your screenset

The problem I have is I want inches set as my native units so I can have my table size etc all setup in my native units but if I start Mach3 with native units set to inches all of my DRO's are in MM and even loading an inch gcode won't switch it over. I tried your suggestion of using G20 and hitting enter twice but my DRO's never switch to inches so setting up all of my park's, plate thickness etc have to be in MM to be correct.

This been a constant battle while setting up homing, table etc and I'm hoping someone knows the fix that I can't seem to find.

My guess is that your steps/unit is wrong.

If it's not already, set your Native Units to inches. If it was mm, close and restart Mach3. Then, make sure that you're in inch mode. Then, move and see if it's moving the correct distance. If it appears to be in mm's, then most likely your steps /unit needs to be changed.

If you originally set up the machine with the native units set to mm's inadvertently, it's possible to set the steps/unit in inches, and it will appear to be correct, until you run g-code with a G20.

That's what the problem is then. It's a Chinese machine so all documentation I had was in mm so I initially setup and tuned the motors using mm. I just figured if I switched the native units after that Mach3 would show everything correctly in inches. Thanks for the help. No I get to re-do the motor tuning....... Joy. :)

That was definitely it ger21. Thanks. Spent some time re-tuning and things are working. Now for the auto zero setup!

Am I not seeing the Simulate Program Run button in this screenset?

The single button probes an outside corner, so I'd use the X- and Y- separately.
