Gertrude Gets Some!
« on: May 08, 2009, 12:40:24 AM »
Hi Folks..

been machining for a while with a roland mdx-15... outgrew that in about 3 months and moved on up to a Minitech minimill2..

I have only just finished setting her up about a month back and am now selling them in Australia for Jack.. made my first Sale/delivery/tram last week.

i love mach because it gives me control over my machine.. im looking at ways to jog more precisely than my keyboard will allow me and looking at using a gamepad or other analog device to make tiny incremental steps possible for "tip to tip" alignment in various passes.. no idea how to do this yet.. but im sharp.. i will figure it out :)

anyway here are some pics of my rig and some of my work off her..   she has been named Gertrude!

[edit]  no worries on external controller setup.. use search function Mr.Botha.. doh!

Wow. Great stuff. It looks like you've really spent allot of time and effort on those, and they look superb. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Incredible work, Chris, thanks for sharing.

Do you use artcam? Do you have a website?

Thanks,
Dave
