Total cutting time 9.40... including the surfacing (1200mm/min surface, 600mm/min profiling)

oh its a broach pin... diamonds in the toes and eyes... sigh....

So you finish a cut, super fine job, and admire your almost non existent supports... (as an idea of scale the hole in the settings is 5.2mm and the surrounding prongs are only 0.3mm each)

You check it from all angles...

And life is good..

THEN.. you turn the wax around and find this!

Metal shavings from my lathe got into the remelt!!!  (hoping its AL)

NOT GOOD! Cutters no likey metal metal.. dey go breaky breaky.. I got lucky this time..

time to inspect the rest of my remelt stock..

Close call there Chris.
Reminds me of an a**hole TIG welder where I once worked.
There were aluminum weldments that needed some of the fillet welds machined.
This guy would bury little chunks of the carbide electrode in the fillets  just to pi** off the machinists.
He didn't last long.

Did you get the rocks set in that GecFrog yet ?
Anxious to see it.
Thanks

GecFrog went directly from the setter to the client (overdue), I never saw it finished either :(

ooops,  :o  ...... and those little cutters, when they go breaky breaky, are awefully quiet and sneaky when they do so  ;)
