When trying to install GSim on my Windows 8.1 tablet, I get "Fail to Load shared library 'GSim.m4pw' (error 0:the operation completed successfully)" when I try and open Mach 4.  Any idea what I am doing wrong.  I tried to install on the D: drive because it has a lot more room on it.  And got the message.  So I uninstalled it, and reinstalled in on c:  I still get the same message.

I "think" its the C++ support files. Try installing the Demo of Gearotic.. Ive heard that fixed a couple
of Darwin installs that had the same issue....  the vcredist_86.exe seems to have more than 1 version, and the one
in the gearotic install worked at least once...

Let me know what happens..

I installed the development version of Gearotic and left the check mark for installing the redistribute, checked.  When I tried to run Gearotic I got the "side by side config" error message.  I uninstalled Gearrotic and Mach4 & deleted the directories.  Rebooted my tablet. Reinstalled Gearotic, this time unchecked the install redistributable option. Ran ran gearotic, again I got the "side by side config" error message.

I just went to the Gearotic Motion directory and ran the "vcredist_x86.exe" and now Gearotic program runs.

Very interesting.. it seems some systems reject the runtime files unless you run them manually.. ( A security issue I assume..)
Thanks for the information though, it will probably help others.

on many system sit woudlnt run on before..

I downloaded the latest version.  Extracted the files on both of my machines, copy and pasted the files into the "Mach4Hobby/plugins" directory and ran mach4.  I could see no differences in the operation of GSim. It worked correctly as before.

Attached is a file I have my students write and it is sure fun to watch run on you simulator.  Note: although the G20 is programmed, it uses the metric tools.
