History (MDI) window displays "Vertex Buffers requested but not available" after a roadrunner or arc test file is loaded in Mach 4  could this be involved?

Thanks Daniel.   I loaded Gearotic and after running the vcredist_x86 file gearotic runs fine.

That sounds like a possible cause, Daniel.  do you know where I can find the latest drivers.  I wonder if this machine even has openGL installed on it?

you would have to look through this thread but I think that was for XP I just loaded up a new game it had the drivers in it.

you can go into hardware config in your control panel and up date your graphix drivers

The more I think about it, it can not be the open Gl drivers because Mach 4's graphic window is an openGl driven window and it works fine.  It just that GSim won't start.

I have openGl 1.4 with 56 extensions.  do I need 2.0 or may 4.0 to run GSim?
