General Mach Discussion / MDI not working
« on: February 24, 2017, 06:43:22 PM »
I have searched the forum, and not found any info that helps me, this is the closest I got http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,29050.0.html
MDI does not work, when I press enter the input data dissapear and machine dont move. It does not show up in history popup window either.

I run the 2010 screenset, and mach version .066.

Could it be an ebay pendant i tried a while ago, but quit using, that might have messed up some hotkeys or similar. I am really out of ideas here.

I have been away from the machine for a while, and cannot remember when this stopped working, so hard for me to relate it to new version, pendant, 2010 screenset install, hotkeys or similar

Hi

I purchased one of these controllers for mach 3, but I have problems getting some functions to work with the 2010 screenset.
Everything works with 1020

Do I have to assign anything, or use some screendesigner to assign these.
Only the axis jog works in 2010.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Feedrate override makes machine stutter
« on: September 30, 2015, 04:48:52 PM »
Thanks for the info guys, I have to make some testcuts with different feedrates first to determine the settings in the tooltable.

I cannt seem to find any other versions than 0.66 on the download site.

Are there any other sources for previous versions?

Hi Ray

I am running v3.043.066.
Are there any known bugs on pulse control or similar on the .066 v?

I just installed it, and of course used the latest version.

General Mach Discussion / Feedrate override makes machine stutter
« on: September 29, 2015, 02:41:01 PM »
If I try to cut a circle (R65) with a 6mm endmill at 1500 mm/min there is no problem. I can run the same code at 6000mm with no problem.
BUT, if i run the code at 1500 mm/min and use feedrate override at 200% (F3000) it "stutters" (shakes) at the all the 90 degree point of the circle (where x and Y mixes).

The machine shows that it can handle 6000 mm+, could it be that its my computer having problems calculating and sending the pulsestream in the parallel port when using override?
Its not a very fast computer, but the mach 3 test tool says it can handle 35khz, and the software is set to that.

any ideas?

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Re: Move after program end

I edited the post processor for Mach 3 in my cad/cam program, and had it automatically add this line before M30

So I think I will try this for now.

thanks for replying

Hmmm, I thought I figured it out, only to discover that I used a g code for testing that I had manually put a G30 at program end, and thought I had solved the problem

Well, anyone with a good idea?

Hi again

I did some experimenting today, and adding a G28 or a G30 after M30 in the g code editor made the machine do what I want.
But THEN, I discovered that checking the Perform G92.1 at program en in general config does exactly what I was looking for.

Sorry that I was impatient and did not explore the options in the software first.

Thanks BR549 for your answer

After spending some time searching the forum, I cannot seem to find an answer to my problem.

When I machine at an offset, lets say G55, and the program ends, the machine moves to "0", but this position puts the gantry and spindle somehow in the way of my inspections or removal of the machined piece.

Is there a way to make the machine go the the machine coordinate position, or any specified position automatically after program end?

As I cannot find an option for editing or deleting posts or thread, I am posting this info.
I managed to teach myself mach screen, and made the screenset i wanted.
