General Mach Discussion / CV or exact stop mode?
« on: February 17, 2008, 01:30:30 PM »
Just ran a 3d sign from the trial v of vcarve (you have propably tested the bullshead sign yourself?)
I ran it first in exact stop mode and then in cv mode, during the exact stop mode the movements where pretty "shaky" if thats understandable.

A lot smother in cv mode.

What is the difference here, can anyone explain this to a newbie?

The result was also pretty much the same.

Cut this in solid oak, but I am not sure I am all that satisfied with the result, ill try to post apicture later.

Ran the machine on 1000 mm/min with a 60 degree v bit

OK, the folder is named Mach3 without spacing, and during the install I was asked if I wanted to upgrade the version already installed in the folder.
If I check the details in the mach3 folder the mach3 application file is dated sometime back in 2007.

Do I need to reboot the pc after intallation?

Hi
Been running Mach 3 for ayear or 2 now, and I love it.

i once in a while update the software with the latest version, just to keep up to date.

just downloaded Mach3Mach3 Dev. Update R3.036  , but  when i press "about mach3 cnc controller" under help it states V R2.60

Is this just a non updated section of the software or am I really running on this version?

I have just finished what Greolt writes here and it works just great.

I put the above mentioned vb script under a button with a laser image.
Did not put in another button , just used the offline button on prgram screen, and change this image with screen 4 software, easy and problemless.

If you want, i can change this for you if you post your 1024.set file and rename it to ******.set for upload.

Thank you both Hood And Overloaded.

Now we are on the same track:), the first press on the button only changes the DRO to the correct inputted value, but it doesnt execute the move.

Overload.......You ar spot on...That was the video I had seen

Here is the script, with a couple of message boxes added, In Norwegian:)

CAn you spot the problem with the script, and why it is not moving the axis?
