Out of the box Simple Screen for New project w/Mach 3
« on: May 15, 2015, 05:57:51 PM »
I have not used any screedesigner in 3-4 years.
I am starting a poject, that is a little out of the box.
I want to make myself a Tigerstop for my chopsaw.
Single stepper axis with the posibilities to have a screen with a large numeric display to enter the position/length of the board
The speed will be constant, just tuning the motor ramp in config
I am planning to use a touch screen, if possible.
So if anyone want to fiddle with a screenset for fun, it would be greately appreciated.

best reg

I started fiddeling with the Mach Screen by Klaus and went through some of the codes and made a screen and tried to use the goto safe z button and the safe z DRO to make the input.
So I put in the position I want the stepper to go to in the safe z DRO window and pushed the Goto sfe Z pos and it moved ok.
But this only work if you enter a value that is higher than the recent, or else it will give message that it is already in a safe pos if you put in a lower number.

Does anyone in here have any ideas how to solve this task?
Either by manipilation this goto safe z pos script, or to use any other codes/custom made functions

As I cannot find an option for editing or deleting posts or thread, I am posting this info.
I managed to teach myself mach screen, and made the screenset i wanted.
