There are no pics :( IT is an eagel CNC mill that I got for a good price as a test bead. I wanted to have a mill that I could just run and run fast so I went with the servo drives, motors and cables from Automation direct. It is not a cheap way to go but the speed and simplistic set up are great! If you would like to do somthing like that you are looking at about 1500.00 an axis :(

Looked at your page and like the JD you got! I would get one like that if I could find one with the 3PT hitch...

If I could just wave my magic wand and get it to all come together. The lagun will have to have all the electricals replaced as well as all of the ballscrews. X and Y for sure. "we rolled it over and bent the X screw and the Y was having some sort of trouble before it came to me. Rockford ball screws say they can sell me a pair for about 900.00. not sure I want to put 2000.00 in that mill right now.  the Bridgeport is much closer to running. I hope to get the bridgeport running without much else but a Grex. but from some of the post's there seems to be a conversion card required to interface the Grex (stepp direction) to some sort of analog output. If that is so would I be better off just putting in the Biggest rutex drives being fed by the Grex. and using the Bridgeport servomotors and encoders.

Thanks Brian,
Boy good thing I was setting down. I guess if you want to play with the big boys you have to pay.  2000 for drives, 3000 for control card 1000 for operator Interface(Elo Touch screen plus mount and MPG switches ect. )  500 for pc to run everything plus vfd and I am thinking some sort of IO expansion. I guess 7,000 In round figures. not much if you say It real fast :-)
