smoothstepper help

ok so i just got an ethernet smoothstepper, port 1 is working fine. XYZ all home and hit the limit switches.
but cant get port 2 working for the ATC, nothing is happening.
anyone offer any advice?

Take a look at the SmoothStepper configuration screen. You will see a setting to change the direction of pins 2-9 to Input or Output. The default in Input. Just change it to output and you'll be all set.

Plugin Control menu then ESS PLugin Config then change the options for whichever ports you want 2-9 to be outputs, they are Inputs as default, see pic.

why am i struggling to much?!
i setup a new profile for the smoothstepper but all i get the reset flashing it wont let me click it?
ahhh this is turning into a nightmare

Probably because you don't have the EStop input set up correctly. What sort of drives are you using, what kind of breakout board, etc? Can you attach your XML profile?

ops its cos i didnt have the db25 plugged in.
now my atc which is connected via port 2 on the smoothstepper uses pins 2, 3, 4, 5, 14 and 16
