long program glitch
« on: December 06, 2009, 05:52:14 PM »
hi folks im woundering if any one can help me
im using vetric pro software
mach3 os for the operating software on a 2009 camwood wr408
all software is reg and updated current as of july of this year
here is my problem
if i am doing any thing simple ie:shapes drill cycles generar routing ect my machine runs like a swiss watch
when i try to do a complex art rout ie something that has many tools and thousands of lines i get emergency stops
tool crashes and all sorts of different glitches
i will note that i do not have an automatic tool changer so i work around it by telling the etric software different tools
i have for example tried to run long programs slowes to allow the controler to keep up this did nothing
i think the interface between the computer and the machine is called a soft stepper3
any ideas on what i might be doing wrong would help
thank you guys and gals in advance

Hi sledrat, I had strang things going on with large 3d files. I turned off the ToolPath window on the Diagnostics page lower left corner
 and fixed the problem.

Hi,

do you have micro switches as limit switches?

When you get the e-stop errors is the machine juddering or vibrating ?

Do you get the errors more during 3 axis simultaneous moves ?

Without engineers the world stops

e stops are not limit switches
not getting e stop errors at tool change i get an emergency once in a while but the machine has already stopped
