How to post code in Write wizard?
« on: January 19, 2008, 03:12:37 PM »
There seems to be no 'post code and exit' button in the 'Write' wizard screen.
So how do I get the code after I have entered then text and parameters?
Thanks
Richard

Richard,
I just hit the Write button and wait a second and it posts the code.

At times, click write.. then click return to Mach3.

Thanks for that, I tried it but nothing happens. I tried a few other wizards, they all seem to work OK.
I must be missing something. I REALLY WISH there were simple help files for these things!

Try hitting the Enter(return) Key on your keyboard, it should work with the on screen one though.

Shouldnt do as its just a Mach wizard written by German Bravo (I think) and not one of the NewFangled addons that require a seperate licence.

Hi,

Something  that is easily overlooked when using the Write Wizard for the first time on a new installation of Mach is to click on one of the direction buttons. If you don't then the only GCode you get on the Mach screen consists of Z moves only, everything else is 0.0000.

You have to make sure that EVERY option is selected, or the Write wizard won't work. Carefully go over the entire screen and make sure you don't miss anything.
