Upgrade of licenced version
« on: January 06, 2013, 07:18:48 PM »
Hi guys,

Apparently I need to do an upgrade to a later version so I can use the latest set of  M10/M11 codes for switching a laser.

I have a fully licensed version on disk,  R3.043.022 .  Where is the UPGRADE for licenced versions located . ( I can only find the DEMO download.Sorry for such a dumb question.  ???

Thanks in advance.

Download  a demo version and install over the top of the old version and just put the license in the installed Mach folder.

Sorry, I could use a good laugh but unfortunately you will need to do better than your question. ;)

Open Mach, click the Help tab, select About Mach3Control and the flyout should show your name and version.
Is that what you are seeing?

Yes it shows my name, but it still shows the old version. I downloaded the new version but installed it to a different folder for now ( C:/ Mach33/mach3)

( I am scared it will wipe all my current settings if i install it into my Mach3 folder ( IT TOOK ME WEEKS TO GET ALL MY SETTINGS CORRECT )  ;D

Just to add since you mentioned you'd hate to lose all your settings, I would personally just make a copy the whole Mach 3 folder and paste it somewhere safe, just in case you mess it up somehow.  ;)
