I have an SS board and I was using 2.63 but per the www.warp9td.com I need to use 3.041. I uninstalled 2.63 then tried to install 3.041 and I get an error message that says installation failed. I tried several more times with the same result. Any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like you may not have gotten a complete download. I'd try to download again and then try to install.

I downloaded 3.042 and it fails to install also. It hangs and when I check the application event log it says it failed in irsetup.exe. This is running on a Dell Inspiron 1525 with 2 GB of memory and Vista Home Premium. I had no problems with 2.63. Anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure that you uninstall the previous version and the driver. There is a newer installer in the new version so it's best to start with a completely clean install.

I did an uninstall and even removed my virus protection in case it was getting in the way. Still no luck. I start installation and nothing happens for quite a while but then eventually a window pops up and says installation has stopped due to an unknown problem. I am still stuck :-(

Hello,
I would try the newest version of Mach3 (3.042.0xx) and this may fix your trouble. This version has an all new installer, I had seen this problem 5-6 times and knew I needed to do something Smiley . So please use that install and tell me if you have any luck with it.
Thanks

There is only one account on my system and which of course is the administrator. I checked just to be sure and also tried to install yet again. It still hangs. I think I am going to download a registry tool to see if I have a corruption issue. Maybe one of the previous uninstalls didn't complete properly.
