Part way through a conversion of the Seig X3 mill.
Many have done this using the original brackets but I wanted to get it as compact as possible. I think they look horrible when they look like Prince Charles


Shows both axis with motors fitted, X still needs the rear shaft shortening.

Start of converting the Z mounting, drive will be by HTD belt at 5mm pitch.

Ballscrews are by NSK supported on matched pairs of angular contact bearings driving thru Oldham couplings.
Still a lot to do, some things are unfinished like no X screw fitted at present although all the parts have been made.
