using motoroutput as normal digital output
« on: November 19, 2008, 02:28:19 PM »
hi,

it is probably a silly question but I use mach with an I/O card with six motor outputs on it. for a my lathe i use only 2 of these motor outputs. what i need are a few more digital outputs to control things on my lathe. is it possible to use a normal motor output (step or direction) as a digital output.

thanks,

If you are meaning can you set up output pins for other than Step/Dir pins then the answer is YES :)
But if you have some weird kind of I/O card then maybe not :(
Is this I/O card you refer to just a normal breakout board?
