Jogging x1 x10 x100 instead of velocity
« on: February 11, 2008, 10:29:13 PM »
Hello,
Trying to Jog with cnc4pc mpg-2 hooked up to lpt2. It moves all axis but I cannot adjust the increment it moves per click of the mpg. x1 x10 x100 are all the same amount no matter what I do.  Seems like I am stuck in velocity mode or something.

Any Ideas? ???

Jog increment does not work with all jog modes.  Make sure you have configured those job modes under general configuration screen.

Arturo,
I have configured the x1 x10 and x100 as shown is lpt2 Mpg-2 setup manual under general configuration screen.

X1     is .0001
X10   is .0010
X100 is .0100

Try using different jog modes.  Go the the diagnostics screen and confirm that the inputs are changing as you turn the selector.

All jog modes give me the same result. I look at the function of the brain and I can see it switching from x1 to x10 to x100. It does not jog any different though.

Do you see in the MPG window? when you press tab? do you see it changing?

I see mpg window, I flip through the different jog modes, but x1 x10 and x100 do not change anything?

 ;D success!

I shut my system down, double checked all connections, booted back up and single step/multistep worked with the mpg. Not quite sure what the problem was. I was stuck in velocity mode for some reason.  Thanks for the Help! :D
