Simple Wiring Problem ???
« on: December 03, 2007, 08:09:16 AM »
Greetings,
Not sure if I should post here or in third party forum. Please advise for future posts.

I have a cnc4pc bob and am unsure of how to connect an Interinar and an Automation Direct driver to it.

The bob terminals are ....    in#   5v   in#   5v   in#   5v   in#.... and so on , 5v being commom.

The Interinar driver terminals are....     GND     /    STEP    /     DIR     /     ENABLE

The other driver is Automation Direct with terminals..       Step+  Step-    /   Dir+  Dir-   /     Enable+  Enable-

The bob looks to be OK the way it is for the AD driver but looks like I may have to move the jumper to 0v common for the Interinar driver.
I'm unsure and do not want to take any chances.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

All is good. I took a shot at it. With a little help from cnc4pc it works just fine.....NO SMOKE !
The "Enables" on this set-up are opposite of what I expected though.
Making chips soon.
Regards

Well, I can only wish you luck..

My mill is dead and I have no manuals for the wiring :(

I have purchased alot of the PC to CNC hardware already, but I wanted to use my servo motors, and I cannot find schematics to the motors :(

I can wire if I have a path... no path :(
