I made my own cables... the breakout is to big and nasty to put in my mill :)

I am still setting the mill up :( I have the PLC in the machine and about 50% wired up... As soon as I get it up and running I will post a few pic's of it

I am thinking of using a Grex and the automation direct drives on a hardinge lathe I am converting. Are the servos on your mill direct drive or do you use a gear reduction?

they are direct drive on the X and Y axis but Ihave a belt on the Z axis... I now have the mill running at 450 IPM and it seems to be working well... I think it is time to finish wire it and get making chips.... the pen is fun but chips are so much cooler ;)

I have tested that and I can't seem to get it... I did run a lefthanded bit into some AL at 12000 Rpm... Art was there forthat one and still no blue. I will keep working on this problem ;)

I have tried for years, lots of clogged up cutters but still no blue chips. Oh well never mind.  ;D
