MDI does not respond
« on: August 14, 2007, 12:22:15 PM »
Hi to every one: I’m new with mach3 and I’m following step by step the manual, when writing the G-code and press enter, I don’t get any response (I have tried several times with different codes). Does anybody could tell me what could be happening?

           Regards

Are your motors moving if you Jog via they keyboard?
Can you post a sample of the code you are trying.

I'm working "dry run"(no motors hook up), I'm just trying Mach3Mill with the following code:
G21
F100
G1 X10 Y0
G2 X10 Y5
X0
Y0

Mach isn't in an e-stop mode is it? Is the reset button led flashing?

Brett
;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

My guard dog is not what you need to worry about!

I checked the “General logic configuration” at the  “Program end or M30 or Rewind” column, for the “E-stop the system”, and it is not checked out (it is in blank).

I’m sorry; I don’t see any “Reset Button” anywhere.

I Checked your "precisionchaos" web page, I see you do a great job.

Sounds like you dont have the axis enabled in Ports and Pins. Even if you dont have motors connected you need to enable the axis you want to use as simulation.
Reset button is lower left on most pages, if its flashing then you will have to go into ports and pins, Inputs and change the active low setting for the E Stop

I see the Reset Buttom just in the manual, but not anywhere in the software at any page. May be I should reload the software?

Can you post a screenshot here so we can look. Sounds like you may be missing some of the bitmaps or the screen set you have is corrupt, you could try installing mach again to see if that clears it up.
