Exporting tool table
« on: November 14, 2018, 04:45:50 PM »
Hi can anyone tell if I can export my mach3 turn tool table with offsets as a file to copy into another computer. I tried to search the forum for this but the search function appears not to be working

i am not a 100% sure,

but i think

c:\mach3\macros\your Profile Name\tool3.dat

contains all the tool data.
anything is possible, just try to do it.
if you find some mistakes, in my bad bavarian english, they are yours.

tool3.dat does (I think) contain the tool data, but it is in some sort of packed binary format (damn windows!) and may not be much use to you.

Cheers

You can manipulate the tool table a number of  ways, ie; reset it, export the info, import a tool table
by using a Macro / Mcode which you create. Have a look in Support / Downloads / Mach Tool Box and you will find how to info.
