Afternoon all,
Hoping I can get some help, the other day, while in the middle of a program, Mach 3 froze on me (first time). Spindle shut down and all axis stopped, likely due to the safety charge pump. Spindle still showed 1,600rpms in Mach, but no variations, no X or Y movement, etc. I had to close Mach via Task Manager for it to work again. Keep in mind, I've ran several programs in the past without this ever happening.
I have a G0704 that I converted using the following:
BD Tools Motor Mounts
KL-5056D X & Y Stepper Drivers
KL-8070D Z Stepper Driver
NEMA 23 570 oz/in X & Y Steppers
NEMA 34 906 oz/in Z Stepper
CNC4PC C11 BOB
CNC4PC C3 Index Pulse Card
5v/10A PSU
12v/5A PSU
24V/5A PSU
48V/12.5A PSU
Desktop is a Dell OptiPlex 755 with the following specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.93GHz
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
2GB RAM
160GB Hard Drive
Anyone have any idea what may have caused this, have you ever had the same happen in the past? Any idea what I can do to prevent it from happening again?
Wasn't a critical part, was just testing engraving for the first time. Computer was wiped clean prior to installing Mach.
Thanks,
Zach
