Hi,

I've got this nice little mill that I converted to modern controller/driver/stepper setup.
After wiring it all up, everything moves the way it should.

Listen to the stepper motors as the program mills a circle tho, sounds like a car shifting 1,2,3 when acc/decc at the quadrants of the circle.
I can't get friendly with it... the transmission is toothed-belt. Can anybody hear something I should double check on ?

Hi Marco; sounds like your stepper motor accel values are very conservative (slow).  Try increasing the accel values and see if that helps.

Here is what happened so far...

Machine: Meccanica Cortini C3 with Cortini 2437 controller and Zebotronics driver and motors made back in 86.
I bought the machine 3 years ago and used it in it original setup.
Was a strong and consistant workhorse.



The memory board finally gave up rendering the machine useless for production.
I decided to go with Mach and Gecko with 950oz NEMA34 stepper motors.
