Tool offset problems
« on: February 18, 2007, 01:54:29 PM »
I have an old problem that has come back.  Downloaded mach3 and Lcam today (sunday 2/18).
Ran an old part with minor charges and sent to G-code. LC did not put G41 or G42 into the G-code file.
Is calls for a tool change but did not add the offset Gcodes.  they should be in there no matter what.
Correct.

I will have a look at it but it will have to be after Art is done adding the pocketing  code.

Did you have G41/42 turned on in the posting options?
Fixing problems one post at a time ;)

Brian I checked the posting options and yes it is checked.  I even unchecked and rechecked it to make sure.  Everyting seems ok except no g41 or 42.  Here is the Lcam project file and the Gcode file.

Also Art what does R represent in the G81 code.
I keep getting R < z in line 8

You guys are doing a great job it is fantastic to have such good support

Sorry I got kicked out on the first try.
This would not let me send an Lcam file.
YOu might want to change that.

Hi, Psad

You also need to turn "Leadin on"  on each line segment, click on line, double click on start point, window opens to set it?

Probably now this, just didn't mention it in your post.

Hope this Helps, Chip

New versoin defaults to plasma mode and cannot turn off.  No tool changes like this, so I cannot check the G41 G42 issue.
