Hi, I have bought a "breakout board(C10)" and a "variable speed control board(C6)" from cnc4pc.
I have problem to make it work with Mach3. Can anyone who also got the same boards tel me how you have setup your Mach?
I'm totally new too Mach. Even the simplest settings would be helpful.
Thanks/Jim

Tell us more about your setup. What is it on? Is it a retro? I don't have those boards but I would think all breakout boards would be set up the same. Go into config., ports and pins.. Do you have a straight through cable. (Not a printer cable) Do you have power hooked to your board?
;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

Its an ORAC. I use the original vfd and step motors. Using Gecko 210 for them.
I got 5vdc connected to the breakout board and 12v to the C6-board. A relay to start/stop the spindle.
At ports and pins I have choose port 1; pins 6,7. Low active.
At the spindle setup I have set: port 1 to the relay, Motor control by step/Dir,
Output signals enabled pin1.
Just consentrated me on the spindle right now, taking it step by step.
Would like to be able to measure the 0-12v output on the C6. But I only get 0v

I think Kato is trying to set up the speed control board and the VFD to control the spindle speed through Mach.

My bad. Had me lost as a f_ _ t in a whirlwind. Duuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh. Yea, that makes sense.  ;D
Do you have E-stop enabled in ports and pins, output signals? Did you download the drivers for Mach? Do you have a switch, or jumper, safety chargepump, to enable this board?

I have tried both enabled and disabled the E-stop. Right now I don't have anything connected through the real E-stop, just connecting one thing at the time to be able to measure everything up. What drivers? The breakout board is enabled by a switch now. In "outputs signals" I only enabled output#1 for my start/stop relay.

When you download Mach, It asks if you want to download drivers. I will try to get you my settings in ports and pins. Maybe this would help you.

Here are some pics. Hope they are clear enough. If not, I'll type them out or something. All I have set up on mine is the motors. Look at the pic. titles. The names have the tab in ports and pins that the pic. is of. I think I will have to put these on two post. Too many pics. :)
