I have no experience of industrial controls but that's what Mach is

I guess i will have to go on another learning curve.

Or open a mill screen of your choice with screen4 and remove all the Y axis stuff and stuff that relates top Mill only, then save as a .lset

I did have that very idea, but i want to use the thing.

Not spend all my time on designing a screen set which is another learning curve.

Then there is the brains learning curve.

No learning curve there, as long as you can left click and press the delete key, then once done choose File, Save As and then make sure your extension is .lset   

Brains are fairly straightforward as well, you will soon get the hang of them, doing modbus stuff in it may be a bit more tricky, never tried that.
