OEM for M5?
« on: February 06, 2009, 09:46:56 AM »
I can't seem to find an OEM for a M5/spindle stop function.  Does anybody know?

Thanks

Tom

Can't you just use Code "M5"?

I'm not sure?  I am retrofitting a 1985 compumill and on the control panel there is a spindle stop button  that I would like to hook up though Mach.  The spindle CW and CCW buttons are are hooked up this way with OEMs  so I can turn on the spindle from the control panel or the screen.(I can turn them off by pushing the button again,  but would like to use the assigned button.)

Can I just put M5 in the OEM setup page?

Thanks

Tom

You can add a button to the screen, and assign M5 to it, and set up an OEM trigger for the external switch.
