Boris thanks for your answer.

Lamps normally have two wires connected, hence my question.

Better be safe than sorry.

looks like this is going to be a bust nothing on ebay at all wow thats a first.

Let me know if anyone finds anything in the UK please

Would this be an ER16 ? as 16 is the end of the code you mentioned

I will add some useful info

I was having some issues with my lathe and i was putting the blame on the Smooth Stepper (Mach freezing)

I changed to the PP well what can i say the RPM which was rock steady on the SS was all over the place with the PP the machine sounded much rougher using the PP also.

I finally found the problem, i had a USB pci card that was a magnet for all the crud floating in the workshop air and had built up over all the ports and circuit board.  >:(

So if you want good threading get a SS

He already has this set for the clarke mill, i think he wants to know what type of collet is used in the set, so he can buy an r8 holder for them for his denford mill.

Doh !!

Just measure the outside diameter of a collet if it 32mm then the size is ER32

I have the full milling set for the clarke CL500. I am looking to get a R8 milling chuck ans wouldering if anyone knows what the clarke collets will fit industry wise, 20,20,32 you get what I mean. I dont want to buy more than I need to with the way work is right  now so if you can help out please do or give me the specs so I can measre up and see if I can figure out what I have.
Many thanks to all that answer Rik

That machine has an  MT3 taper for the mill spindle so an R8 will not fit, you should be looking for an ER type collet chuck with MT3 shank

Chris i have looked at one of your files, and i don't like to see the way it is laid out with no spaces between commands

N100G00G20G17G90G40G49G80 one line of code as you/PP supplied it

N100 G00 G20 G17 G90 G40 G49 G80 how it should look

Regarding CCS

I'm using a SS and i think what is happening is when the X tool comes out to take a new cut, its only then that the spindle wants to slow down.

So it gets the timings wrong, as it starts a new cut with the spindle too fast. I put a G04 pause to slow the spindle and it seems to work OK cutting air

I am looking to getting a braking resister for my VFD to slow it down a bit quicker.

Maybe you guys could test the theory out.

Brian are you looking  ;D ;D
